I love having a bath, but unfortunately I don’t have a bathtub in my flat. So you can imagine my joy at discovering that my personal bathroom in Lilongwe did not only have a shower but also a seperate bathtub.
I struggled with my conscience all week whether I could really justify having a bath in a developing country. But as I was then coming down with a cold, and all I really wanted was a hot my bath and my colleagues reassured me to not worry so much (especially as the hotel waters its gardens with sprinkles everyday and has a swimming pool filled at full capacity even though it is way too cold for a swim), I went for it.
Thanks to the free toiletries provided, I was even able to soak for an hour in a bubble bath. Happiness!!!
